ABOUT US

Our journey started in 2016, when we embarked on a family adventure to explore the breathtaking beauty of Scotland.

The landscapes took our breath away – endless rolling hills, glistening lochs mirroring the sky, and fields scattered with sheep, like something out of a fairytale.

We felt an instant bond with this land, and within a year, we returned to Scotland, not as tourists but as new residents, ready to call it home.

The scenery was incredible, but honestly, it was the whisky that really blew me away. Not just the drink itself, but the whole story behind it. I learned about the centuries-old traditions, and the incredible craftsmanship, and I was just hooked. Suddenly, I was immersed in this whole world of whisky-making. The peat, the barley, the copper stills, the oak casks – it was like they were all part of this living, breathing story that had been passed down for generations.

Barrel Craft Studio's home: rolling green fields and Highland mountains near Loch Lomond Scotland under dramatic autumn skies

Whisky casks are at the heart of this tradition. For years, they hold the whisky, shaping its character and deepening its flavor. But they’re more than just containers—they’re silent witnesses to time, soaking up history with every passing moment.

When the whisky’s journey ends, the cask’s story isn’t over. Each one that arrives at our workshop carries a past, visible in its shape, color, and charred wood. We see beauty in these marks of time and give them new life.

Every piece I create is a tribute to Scotland’s whisky heritage. Join me in honoring these casks—preserving their history and transforming them into something special, crafted with love, care, and a little touch of magic.
